Welcome to Physiotherapy Centre Ivanhoe…

Our 6 Physiotherapists can help you with thorough assessment of the problem, effective treatment and long lasting relief from your pain.

We will help you understand the causes of the problem and how you can help yourself in the future.

Welcome Cath Duffy

Our staff are busy keeping up with the latest research

Sarah, Chris and Eva are heading over to Adelaide at the end of April to attend the “Neurodynamics & The Neuromatrix” conference.
Now if that doesn’t impress you, it is all about neurosciences in the fields of plasticity, neurogastronomy, mirror neurones, pain and stress literacy, neuroscience-backed psychology, neurimmunology, neurodynamics and movement/brain sciences.
We are not just pretty faces you know! Hopefully we can still speak English on our return.

Tamsen is putting the finishing touches on her McKenzie training. This looks at directional treatment using repeated movements, hands on treatment and home management, looking especially at treating disc injuries. So all those who have pain radiating down into the arm or leg, come and see Tamsen.

Eva is working on her Masters looking at the Psychological aspects of Physiotherapy. The rest of us are looking forward to being part of her research.

Jacquie Dundee is having some time off after 12 years of work at the practice and is having long service leave. I am sure she will come back fresh and relaxed (? with a 4 year old to look after) at the end of term. This means that the practice will be closed on Saturday mornings for term 2.

Term 2 will take us into winter, so time to move those bodies.
